How to put a pen pen together and fill it with your paint

The key to getting great results with you paint pen is paint dilution and choosing the proper nib.

• Most paints need to be thinned or diluted for proper flow - sometimes, up to 50/50 paint/thinner.
• After assembly but before capping, hold paint pen upright and depress the tip fully to release air trapped inside during assembly. This prevents a glob of paint shooting out on the first stroke after the pen is filled.
• Always shake the pen thoroughly before each use.
• Before the first use, hold the pen vertically with the tip against scrap paper, then push down on the pen and hold for a minute or so to allow the tip to fill for the first use. This will not need to be done each time unless the pen sits for long periods between each use.
